Piss.
You know, the thing even warns you that "customizable changes will be lost, " so why did I still select yes? I changed the template on this blog (you may have noticed) and lost all the stupid links and cute little buttons I had over there. Argh. I'm not very happy with Kirsten right now. She needs to be beaten. Argh. Now I have to figure it all out again and I'm not even sure this silly template works on a Mac.

Copy your template into a TextEdit document for starters. That way you have it even if you do something dumb. :)
You didn't lose the buttons, you lost the links TO the buttons. They are an easy fix. You can do it!
It's just html in the sidebar. Patience-trying, but possible.
