One beaded handbag for sister's wedding...DONE! Well, not lined, but except for that it's a finished object. And let me tell you how much I enjoy sewing in zippers...GRRR.

I completely love it. I hope she does too! I may be making these for the bridal party...

DONE! With phone for size.

NO way...

Another FO.
Yes, it is only a washcloth but what does that have to do with anything?? It's finished isn't it? And it's an object...so there.
:O)

Jake and Jamal

Jake and Jamal

Pink sweater...

...now a pile of yarn.

More yarn...just what I needed...

My friend Christina gave me a tour of her upstairs in her house today
and we ran across a bag of clothes. This sweater ("Handmade by Jean,"
said the tag) was in it and I saw the pink and pulled it out.

"You can have that," says Christina, "not my color or style."
"Yeah, I'll take it. It won't fit, but I can take it apart and use the yarn!" says Kirsten.

So now I have this sweater (well, the yarn that was this sweater...) to make one of the shrugs from Spring 2005 Interweave Knits! Someday. Not soon. The pattern knitted into the sweater was cool. I took a close-up. The edges were finished with crab stitch, so I got to see it up-close-and-personal for the first time. Really makes a nice finished-looking edge. Especially
compared to the edge after I pulled out the crab stitch. V messy and loosey-goosey without it. Must try it sometime.

Photo as promised

Ellie's Poncho-in-Process. It's Lorna's Laces Shepherd Worsted (that
sounds wrong...is that the right name??) on 20" Addi Turbo size 8's.
Exactly to gauge. YESSSS! I have about 3 more inches to go which sounds
fairly insignificant but really is quite a lot considering I increase 4
stitches every stinking 2 rows.

Phone for size comparison (if you didn't already figure that out...).

Poncho and blanket...

I'm still working on Big Bad Baby Blanket (from SnB). I was going to have it finished by the time the child was one month old...sadly this did not happen. Anyway, I am also working steadily on a Poncho for The Cutest Niece in the World. Will likely finish it before the BBBB. ::sigh:: I just get so bored with the blanket. At this rate I might have it finished for MY baby (no I'm not even thinking about being pregnant!). So what do I do? Join a KAL. The Ribbon XBack KnitALong. It's such a cool tank. I actually have a picture of a draft of a sweater I was thinking about designing and it's eerily similar to the x-back, although I wouldn't have thought of ribbon yarn...I don't think. Anyway. Photos to follow. Have to go figure out how to set the size of the photo on Photobucket. Didn't even know you could do that!

I absolutely must figure out what I have started and on the needles and finish some of these things. I am out of control and need to be monitored closely--I am NOT ALLOWED to start any new projects until MANY of the old ones have been completed. Do you hear me?! :O)

Here is a cursory list. I haven't gone digging--the thought scares me. But I need to one day. Anybody wanna come over and keep me company while I dig through knitting stuff and clean up my room?

-Lisa's purple sweater--so close to being finished...
-little bags for wedding party--deadline: July 20
-crocheted swimstuff/shopping bag
-scarf for Maddy
-Big Bad Baby Blanket--supposed to be for a friend who recently adopted...
-Wildfoote socks
-Jen's mittens
-Karen's scarf

OK, that's enough for now. Good grief.
Don't ask me to knit anything for you--and don't let me offer, you'll never get said knitted item...although I really would like to knit that hat for jg, [info]shemaiah! :P

Hey, I forgot about this site!

So, now I mostly post to livejournal. Not that anybody reads this! :o) I like this site too...maybe if I ever get knitting again I'll keep this as my knitting site. And set up a link at my lj site. Hmm.
